Internet Technology-based Remote GHP Monitoring System (“Sky Remote” / “Eneflex”)

Overview

A "Sky Remote" adapters attached to gas heat pumps (GHPs) or "Genelight" (microcogeneration) systems are wirelessly connected to the Osaka Gas monitoring server, allowing Osaka Gas to remotely monitor the operating hours and error notifications of GHPs and Genelight.

In addition, Osaka Gas helps its customers save energy, reduce CO₂ emissions, and save costs by means of the following functions: visualization, which allows customers to check the operating status; remote control, which allows customers to operate their equipment from a distance; patrol, which automatically manages the temperature setting and prevents forgetting to turn it off; and automatic energy saving, which automatically switches to energy saving mode.

Maintenance

1. Reduction life-cycle cost through monitoring of operating hours.
   Appropriate maintenance on a device-by-device basis mitigates deterioration of the equipment.
2. Prompt response in the event of a problem*
   Error codes and other failure information are promptly transmitted to ensure early recognition of failure condition and shortening of equipment downtime.
   * Dispatch services are available during business hours.

Operation

1. Visualization function ("Eneflex Premium")
   The visualization function allows you to check the operating status of your equipment from a remote location. It also creates daily and monthly reports.
2. Remote control ("Eneflex Premium")
   The remote control function allows you to turn on or off the indoor unit and set the temperature from a remote location. It also offers scheduled operation.

Patrol function (“Eneflex Premium”)

To manage set temperatures and avoid inadvertently omitting turning off the equipment, the patrol function periodically patrols the indoor units of the customer. Upon detecting an indoor unit that does not match the settings, the patrol function will automatically change the settings.

Automatic energy-saving function (“Eneflex Premium”)

The automatic energy-saving function selects energy-saving operation mode in response to the room temperature according to the settings made by the customer.
