Overview

Mist sauna bathing warms the entire body with low-temperature, high-humidity mist, so it feels less suffocating than dry saunas. The main feature of the mist sauna is that the body warms up in a short time to a level comparable to or better than bathing in a bathtub. In addition, its expected effects include sweating, moisturizing, and maintaining body warmth. Owing to these benefits, the mist sauna has been well received.
This product adds water mist to the existing three types of mist functions of splash mist, micro mist, and micro mist soft, and it is equipped with Omakase (or automatic) Mist operation to automatically switch between these functions. Whether for short or long bathing, the pleasure of varying mist bathing is available simply by pressing the Omakase button.
In addition, the product comes with an anti-mold function that uses technology to inhibit the growth of mold mycelia in the bathroom by controlling the temperature and humidity for a certain period of time using micro mist.
Moreover, Osaka Gas has launched a product that uses a mist sauna function to enhance the functionality required of a bathroom heater-dryer, such as a clothing deodorizer.

We focused on the effect that the humidity and temperature of the micro-mist have on the growth of mycelia on the wall surface. Our solution was to provide a punch button that destroys the tip cells of fungal mycelia and inhibits their growth by controlling the temperature and humidity of the micro-mist. It is as simple as pressing the punch button to prevent further growth of mold, which is a cause of complaints with the bathroom.
In addition, the 24-hour ventilation type is equipped with a bathroom search button to tell you when it is time to clean the bathroom. Osaka Gas’s proprietary control presumes mold growth and gives a punch sign.

 

3. Micro-mist effective in deodorizing clothing
Fine nanoscale particles of water less than 1 µm in size constituting the micro mist takes in the odor components from the fibers, floats them, removes them, and discharges them outdoors together with the moisture. The deodorization capability is effective for clothing contaminated with daily odors, such as cigarette smoking, odors from grilled meat and other meals, and insect repellent odors during the seasonal wardrobe change.

 

System Configuration

The heat source of a gas hot water type provides room heating hot water, which is used to generate a blow of warm air by a hot-air heat exchanger and a circulation fan; at the same time, splash mist and micro-mist are produced.
