Long-term Reliability Evaluation of Polyethylene Gas Pipes

Polyethylene gas pipes which have earthquake-resistant are widely used nationwide. To continue to supply gas safely, we evaluate long-term deterioration of polyethylene pipes through accelerated tests; at the same time, we collect pipes that have been used for a long time and check their soundness and long-term durability.

Long-term Reliability Evaluation of Gas Meter Components

We replace household gas meters once every 10 years. While there are so many gas meters installed, it is possible to considerably reduce waste by, after replacement, repairing removed meters and reusing some parts. However, such recycled gas meters must be able to accurately measure amount of gas for 10 years. To ensure this, we have the technology to evaluate long-term reliability of parts including polymer materials.
